The story centers around Jamie Morgan (Sturgess), a troubled photographer with a birthmark on his face shaped like a love heart and large birthmarks on his arm. He works at a photo studio with his brother, where he meets Tia (Poésy) who is trying to be a model.
In the end, Jamie begins to believe that all the fantastic elements of his reality were illusions – The birthmark never went away, the demons were actually gang members in masks and the little girl was someone he saw while watching the news. He is ultimately killed by one of the gang members, burning to death after a Molotov cocktail is thrown in his direction. He then hears his father (Spall)'s voice and we see him talking to a young Jamie under the tree. Then Jamie turns into his adult form and looks toward the sky leaving us staring at the stars.

The U.S. and Mexican militaries are battling to contain the creatures, with a wall stretching along the American border. The story follows Andrew, an American photojournalist helping his wealthy employer's daughter, Samantha, get back to America. In Mexico, Andrew buys Samantha a ferry ticket to return to America, but he gets drunk the night before they leave, and wakes up to find the tickets are stolen, so they have to travel by land through the infected zone. Their journey takes them across Central America and eventually back into the United States.

As she is being lowered onto another buzz saw, each of the men must choose to either kill the other person in order to save her, or allow her to die, resulting in their freedom.

He says the demon feeds off negative energy, and its intent is to haunt and torment Katie no matter where she goes. Before leaving, he advises them not to taunt or communicate with the demon, and to contact demonologist Dr. Johan Averies for help. Instead, each night, Micah mounts a video camera on a tripod in their bedroom to record any paranormal activity that might occur while they sleep in the hopes of solving the problem himself.

In 1983 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, a police detective (Elias Koteas) enters the hospital room of a disfigured man, try to question the patient and concludes by telling him that he will catch whoever else is in league with him; the detective is then called to take a phone call outside the room by the nurse desk. While he is on the phone, a scream is heard, and the detective finds the suspect has fallen out of the window to his death. The man had scribbled a note: "I'm sory (sic) Abby".

The original Alice ambushes him, but Wesker injects her with a serum that neutralizes the T-virus, eliminating her superhuman powers. He reveals that his T-virus powers have surpassed her own, but before he can kill her, the aircraft crashes and Alice escapes from the wreckage.

Derrick convinces Jake to show him good spots on the beach for filming a pornographic movie.
